Since its founding in February 2021, the Nous Vendons Votre Maison agency has donated $70,000 to the Old Brewery Mission, L'Etoile de Pacho and Muscular Dystrophy Canada organizations.

To you the sellers and buyers, we thank you for entrusting us with your project. Even more, we are grateful if you recommend Équipe Owen, Nous Vendons Votre Maison to family, friends and neighbours who want to make the same dream come true.

We are very proud to announce that on August 31, 2021  our agency presented a cheque of $20,000 to Muscular Dystrophy Canada and an additional cheque of $5,000 to Micel Diagle. He is now 27 years of age,  was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy before he was 2 years old. Micael is both a courageous and inspiring young man. We brokers were excited to present him with this gift for his birthday along with a few other surprises from the Montreal Canadiens, his favourite DJ and a party to help raise funds for him.

At Nous Vendons Votre Maison, we brokers raise money for organizations and individuals by donating a portion of or income from each transaction. This allows us to help more families.

Together, we really are improving the quality of life of members of our community that really need some help. Your referrals really make a difference.

There are Many Ways to Help Muscular Dystrophy Canada

Illness knocks on our door without warning. Sometimes she passes. At other times, it accompanies people all their lives. This is the case with muscular dystrophy. Here are many ways to help men and women with this disease. Help is possible by making a simple gesture, donating to Muscular Dystrophy Canada (DMC) in Montreal. Support for the organization touches several targets. Muscular Dystrophy Canada clients benefit from supportive programs and services. The general public can get information about the disease. The researchers, for their part, explore the projects in classes. Firefighters support the organization by raising funds and raising

awareness about the disease. Volunteers enrich it by giving of their time. How will you help Muscular Dystrophy Canada?

Here is a word from the Muscular Dystrophy Canada organization followed by the testimony of Marie-Hélène Bolduc, vice-president of programs and services within the organization.

A Word From the Organization

Over 100 illnesses covered by DMC

Muscular dystrophy includes more than 100 neuromuscular diseases. Their common point: a progressive deterioration of muscle strength. Muscular Dystrophy Canada's mission is "to improve the lives of people with neuromuscular diseases by adequately funding the search for a cure, providing services and ensuring ongoing support."

The Nous Vendons Votre Maison agency gives back to the community, to organizations like Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Our brokers donate a portion of their income from each transaction to great causes. «Muscular Dystrophy Canada would like to warmly thank Nous Vendons Votre Maison for the significant donation of $ 20,000 received in August, which will continue to provide essential programs and services to the thousands of Canadians affected by neuromuscular diseases. In the current context, people with Alzheimer's disease need more than ever information, support and funding for equipment that will improve their quality of life.»

At the Old Brewery Mission, emergency accommodation for people experiencing homelessness in Montreal, the cold season rhymes with the implementation of winter measures. While the organization's services remain the same, over the seasons, some of them expand in the winter. This is the case with Café Mission Keurig, located on Saint-Laurent Boulevard. The place, open from 8 a.m. to

4 p.m. during the summer, will be accessible 18 hours a day, 7 days a week from the beginning of December. This heat stop is essential for the entire homeless population, women or men, especially in cold weather. Users stop there to eat a sandwich or a snack, to shower, to get dressed or to clean their clothes. They also meet the need for information and contact their relatives, because the mission provides them with free computer stations with Internet access and a television.

At Café Mission Keurig, as in other services or facilities, the staff of the Old Brewery Mission welcomes customers in accordance with sanitary measures. The compulsory wearing of masks in common areas, the restricted reception capacity in certain places and the addition of acrylic panels to the cafeteria tables are just a few examples. Their main missions are to create links in order to be able to refer users to the various appropriate services.

Winter measurements at the Old Brewery Mission help many men and women. Here is the testimony of France, a former resident and beneficiary of the PRISM program (Project of reaffiliation in homelessness and mental health).

"They [La Mission] gave me a bed and in the two and a half months I was there, I met the caregivers I needed," recalls France. They were always present and available to my needs. They gave me the resources to stop drinking alcohol. I am proud of myself. I no longer need to consume to be well, says France. [The Mission] saved my life. She saved me from the streets. "

The Old Brewery Mission is looking for winter clothing and accessories for shelter users for both women and men. The organization accepts coats, boots, sweaters, mittens and toques, among others. Do you want to dispose of similar items? Place them in a clearly identified box. Drop off your donations at the Old Brewery Mission - Brewster Pavilion, located at 915 Clark Street in Montreal. The entrance is accessible at all times (24/7).
